Welcome to my portfolio
My name is Katrina Peli. I’m a UX Researcher with a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University and over 4 years of experience in healthcare. I’ve seen firsthand how poor design can frustrate users and affect their experience. That’s what led me to focus on user research, including interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping. I use these insights to help create more accessible and user-friendly digital products.
About MeGraphic DesignI did UX research to make the NISRA website easier for visually impaired users, resulting in a 20% increase in sign-ups
I led UX research and design for the VirtualCare App, aiming to make finding healthcare providers, communicating, and scheduling appointments easier during COVID-19. These improvements increased user satisfaction by 15% and reduced time spent searching for providers by 30%.
I designed PayOnce to consolidate all bills into a single platform, helping users reduce stress, save time, and avoid late payments and overdrafts. This resulted in a 20% reduction in missed payments within three months. (Capstone Project)
I conducted Information Architecture to improve the navigation, clarity, and accessibility of the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association (NISRA) mobile page.
